I knew very little about Gem Silica before my metalsmithing/jewelry design path began. But once I discovered it, I was immediately pulled in. Gem Silica is a blue/green variety of the nurturing Chalcedony, known to absorb bad energy. Its vivid color comes from the presence of copper and reminds me of the gorgeous tropical waters. I recently read that Gem Silica is “a stone of brotherhood among all. It symbolizes benevolence and good will”. I love the stone even more now.
Ring is a size 8.5 set in 18k gold. The stone is approximately 1″ x 3/4″.
